Steady Bronc

She had the big brown eyes
and a pocketbook smile
with a great big grin
wide as a mile
and I loved her.

She took me by the hand
said this is how you stand
if you’re gonna be my man
and say you love me.
Girl i loved you,

But I found her one day
just a playing away
in the back 40 field
where the horses played
and they ran and they ran

She had the big brown eyes
and a pocketbook smile
a great big grin
wide as a mile
and I loved her.

Then I saddled up my bronc
when I left that honky tonk
and the field laced daisies forever.

…and I got no baby now.
