Your Death

Stars live on,
sparkling their song,
while their dust covers my soul.
I lay waiting,
longing,
for your comforting hand.
Why have you gone on,
looking for another song?
Once upon a time,
when star dust was fine,
your breath blew it away.
Now I have grown tired
of brushing it.
Dust has swallowed me,
and tears have turned it to coal.
Blackened Heart,
Blackened Heart,
has lost me.
Your words now gone forever,
lost in your own mountain of dust.
Goodbye.
